Simplified design on the basis of Searle’s pattern. Having square rods joined together through a phosphor bronze strip instead of metal frame. One of the rod has 10-0-10 scale with a 0.01mm micrometer head for adjusting the spirit level. Rods have self-centering chuck at its top for holding wires and load hooks at the bottom. Includes counterpoise weight and a set of two wires (one each of brass 28 SWG and steel 28 SWG).
